High Voltage Sockets
The growth of high voltage applications in semiconductors, brought on largely due to the requirements of the automotive market, and particularly BEVs and FCEVs, has brought with it several challenges for burn-in sockets and test sockets.
Voltages for these parts can range from 20V up to 100V and over one kilovolt. With these high voltages, there are challenges for the burn-in board design and ATE test board design, as well as for their sockets. CAF and other issues can delay or stop qualifications and new product introduction, costing semiconductor companies large amounts of money.
